Parent Carer Groups and Training

Our parent carers group meets once a month on a Thursday morning for a range of activities. Crafts, guest speakers and therapies are just some of what we offer. Parent carer workers are always available at these sessions for a chat and to help support you in your caring role.

We also offer sessions for working parent carers at the weekends and in the evenings. Our online facials are particularly popular for those who cannot attend during the week, or find it difficult to leave the house due to their caring role. Our dads and kids days offer dads the opportunity to meet other dads and spend some quality time with your child.

We are part of the Bridgend Inclusive Network Group (BING) and we help organise events such as The BING Parent Carer Ball and BING Family Fun Days for families in Bridgend.

We work closely with a range of CIC companies, third sector organisations and statuary services. This helps ensure that we can give you the right information and refer on when needed.

We offer a range of internal and external training throughout the year. Our external providers include Autside, The PDA Society, Barnardo’s, MIND and DASH. Our internal training cover sessions on Supporting your LGBTQ+ child, Recognising and Supporting Autistic Girls and Advocating for your child.
