Armed Forces Carers Project

Bridgend Carers Centre is committed to the Principles of the Armed Forces Covenant. The aim of our project is to identify Carers within the Armed Forces and Veterans Community who due to their training and stoicism, may experience additional difficulties asking for help. We recognise the unique difficulties they face in their caring role. We aim to reduce disadvantages, particularly in the Valleys areas of the County, and the barriers to accessing support. This project will ensure maximised well-being, reducing loneliness and isolation and impact from the caring role.

Our Armed Forces and Veteran project would be happy to support you in your caring role whether that is having a chat, helping with connections to other services, helping to reduce isolation, maximise income via our Welfare Benefits Advisers, alleviate debt worries with our Debt Support Worker, link to Carers Support Grants, support meeting other Armed Forces members and Veterans, or supporting you in any other way they can.
