Carers Link Workers
Our Carers Link Workers cover the whole geographical area of Bridgend County with the prime purpose of working in partnership with G.P. Surgeries in identifying hidden carers across the borough.
G.P. surgeries are a key way of identifying the hidden carers as it is often the first point of contact. The aim of the Link Workers is to improve carer recognition and to identify new carers and support more carers at an earlier stage and to find out ‘What matters to them’ by providing information, advice and improve health and wellbeing and access to community activities.
If you are a carer or know of someone that provides care and support to someone, please get in touch.

What we do?
Encourage carers in a holistic way to establish what matters most to them and to enable them to take greater control of their health and wellbeing. We take a personalised care approach to build up trust and rapport in order to focus on what matters most for carers.
How we do it
Provide practical and emotional support to carers through all the stages of their caring journey and beyond.
We develop relationships and provide information, advice and support to connect carers to statutory services, third sector organisations, or to our specialist services within the team. We are also able to offer carer group activities, Carers Grants, workshops and training to support and encourage carers on their caring journey.
